    urpmi sources

    Just wanted to check. This is the content of my /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg { downloader: wget verify-rpm: 1 } plf-free http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/plf/mandriva/free/cooker/i586 { hdlist: hdlist.plf-free.cz key-ids: caba22ae list: list.plf-free synthesis with_hdlist: synthesis.hdlist.cz } plf-nonfree http://ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/plf/mandriva/non-free/cooker/i586 { hdlist: hdlist.plf-nonfree.cz key-ids: caba22ae list: list.plf-nonfree synthesis with_hdlist: synthesis.hdlist.cz } main http://mandrake.mirrors.pair.com/Mandrakelinux/devel/cooker/i586/media/main/release { hdlist: hdlist.main.cz key-ids: 26752624 synthesis with_hdlist: media_info/synthesis.hdlist.cz } contrib http://mandrake.mirrors.pair.com/Mandrakelinux/devel/cooker/i586/media/contrib/release { hdlist: hdlist.contrib.cz key-ids: 26752624 synthesis with_hdlist: media_info/synthesis.hdlist.cz } These are the repositories for cooker, correct? I'm not missing anything?
  2. I need help with connecting to the internet. I have ethernet card eth1 for connecting to the ppp0 connection. I am using the net-applet thing in the systemtray. After each boot both interface are up, but I can't use the internet although I can ping the ppp0 gateway. But I have to right click on net-applet , switch 'watched interface' from eth1 to ppp0, disconnect ppp0, reconnect ppp0 before I can use the internet. This is pretty annoying. Anyone knows why this happens?
  3. I did " cat /var/log/messages | grep RPM" but there's tons of lines ending with installed or removed, how would I know what I'm looking for?
  4. Yes, it installs ok but it wants to delete some package and it can't. But, if I try to install some package using urpmi from command line, it works with no errors. I really don't know which package. Is there a log somewhere I can look at?
  5. When I install a program using 'mandriva linux control center', the package downloads and installs fine, but I get this error message, 'there was a problem during the installation: unable to remove package" Who can I solve this?
  6. In the meantime, I've disabled harddrake at boot.
  7. scarecrow, thanks that worked. I added the resume line in menu.lst
  8. I bought a usb mouse. I edited xorg.conf and changed '/dev/mouse' to '/dev/misc/psaux' to get it to work. but when I restart, it reverts back to '/dev/mouse' and my mouse stops working until I change it back to '/dev/misc/psaux' and restart X So everytime I reboot, I have no mouse until I edit xorg.conf again. this is very annoying so if anyone can help, it's much appreaciated. How do I get it to stop reverting to /dev/mouse upon reboot?
  9. when I try to hibernate using gnome-power-manager, it fails with error: "hal failed to hibernate" How do I solve this? Is there a specific kernel I have to install to get this to work?
  10. ok, I removed ~/.gaim and now it works again. I also added the main and contrib repos for cooker and will download the updates packages. I'll post in new threads if there are any further problems.
  11. I just installed mandriva using this live installable cd mandriva-one-2007-mona-gnome-west.iso I'm new to mandriva when I try to launch gaim it crashes. This is what I get when I launch it from a gnome-terminal: GTK Accessibility Module initialized Aborted (core dumped) [moved from Software by spinynorman - welcome aboard :)]
