  1. What I mean is has anyone done it by simply updating the urpmi sources, not using the dvd? Any problems?
  2. I just wanted to say that after a full wasted day I got it to work. for me I needed to set this in modeprobe.conf options bttv card=34 tuner=38 and this in modprobe.preload bttv bt878 also, kdetv was problematic but tvtime worked fine, needed to scan for channels by frequency
  3. How exactly did you have the card working, Im pullling my hair out of my head because Im not getting any signal. When you had it working in 9.2, what did you have for modprobe.conf and what settings did you use to make it work?
  4. yes, but I believe the problem is a little more complicated, after running testparm on the config file here is what it says: [root@localhost samba]# testparm smb.conf Load smb config files from smb.conf Processing section "[homes]" NOTE: Service homes is flagged unavailable. Processing section "[printers]" Processing section "[print$]" Processing section "[pdf-gen]" Processing section "[billydv]" Processing section "[My Documents]" Loaded services file OK. Warning: Service printers defines a print command, but print command parameter is ignored when using CUPS libraries. 5. Hoping someone can tell me if they have figured out a way around the windows printing problem each time I print to a smb printer here is the error in the cups log E [13/Sep/2006:09:28:17 -0400] [Job 3] Can not get the ticket cache for root E [13/Sep/2006:09:28:17 -0400] [Job 3] Tree connect failed E [13/Sep/2006:09:29:17 -0400] [Job 3] Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds...ERROR: No ticket cache found for userid=0 billydv1@verizon.net
