Right you are, that is all I needed to do, thanks for the nudge.

The Firefox instructions do not really instruct. I can run the new version by clicking the firefox file in the extracted folder, but it is not linked to the menu and tray icons. Sounds like waiting for the rpm is best for me.

I can not figure out how to get it to install "over" old version.

I am using the gui smb4k which I think is part of the KDE, to mount shares on my XP pc's.

I did this but still have no audio on You Tube. Type in a root console lsmod Do you see a module "snd-pcm-oss" loaded? I do not see it on the resulting list.

No audio here.

Since I killed the KlamAV, I am OK on Google Videos, but no audio on You Tube. Since their upgrade I guess we are "Left Behind".

It now appears that this being caused by KlamaAV. When I lanuch KlamAV, the problem returns. If I quit KlamaAV, and reboot the computer, the audio works on Google Videos. Meerly quitting KlamAV is not enough.

I have not changed anything, but tonight I went to Google Video and everything plays! Go figure.
