  1. Short answer: no. not unless you reinstall from cd and don't get updates. and isn't "stable cooker" an oxymoron? if you want stable you shouldn't be using cooker :P I said stable OR cooker snapshot :P
  2. What is wrong with repositories for Cooker? I can't find a server with working main and contrib repositories. Look at http://www.mandrivauser.de/smarturpmi/. Is it possible to downgrade from Cooker to a stable or 2007 cooker snapshot version?
  3. Mesa doesn't support 3D acceleration with Radeon 9700. 3D acceleration with ati drivers already works fine for me, but ONLY as root. That's the problem.
  4. I tried that. No success. Thank you anyway for your suggestion.
  5. Nope. 6. I have checked it again. I have added Section "DRI" before I posted this message, because it didn't help. I also have Load dri and Load glx directives in conf file. What else to try? I get this when running fglrxinfo AS ROOT: display: :0.0 screen: 0 OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc. OpenGL renderer string: MOBILITY RADEON 9700 Generic OpenGL version string: 2.0.5755 (8.24.8) I get this when running fglrxinfo AS NORMAL USER: Loading required GL library /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 display: :0.0 screen: 0 OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.4.1)
  7. I have successfully installed ati-xorg and dkms-ati package from plf repository. 3D acceleration now works for me like a charm but only when running as root. If I try i.e. to run fgl_glxgears or fglrxinfo as normal user I get no 3D acceleration. What is wrong here? And yes, I already tried to add Section DRI mode 0666 and so on at the bottom of xorg.conf. Thanks!
  8. Yes, it works perfectly now with the latest 0.4.7 version, build from source. Before I had Mandriva bundled 0.4.4 version.
  9. I was using Mandriva's bundled wpa_supplicant. Manually building a new version of wpa_supplicant did help!!
  10. I have tried running it as open system without any encryption. It worked perfectly. When I switch to WPA-PSK I get the same error as with EAP-TLS (FreeRADIUS). It seems that when I try with wpa_supplicant I get this error regardless of EAP, PSK...
  11. Yes, I have tried that, but with no success. And I forgot to say that iwlist scan lists my network.
  12. I'm using EAP-TLS with FreeRADIUS server. Under Windows all works ok. But under Linux running wpa_supplicant with madwifi I get this: ioctl[sIOCSIWPMKSA]: Operation not supported Trying to associate with 00:11:6b:60:9e:83 (SSID='network' freq=2417 MHz) ioctl[iEEE80211_IOCTL_SETMLME]: Argument list too long Association request to the driver failed My wpa_supplicant.conf: ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant ctrl_interface_group=0 eapol_version=1 ap_scan=1 network={ ssid="network" key_mgmt=WPA-EAP proto=WPA pairwise=TKIP group=TKIP eap=TLS ca_cert="/etc/cert/cacert.pem" client_cert="/etc/cert/client_cert.pem" private_key="/etc/cert/client_key.pem" private_key_passwd="MY_PASS" } Anyone knows where is the problem?
