I agree, I deleted a partition and mandriva handled renumbering the partitions without a problem.

i gave Knoppix to a complete newbie and found it to be very user friendly. JMHO -

I just downloaded and installed, very nice browser.

If you are going to do that big of a jump you will probably have less problems with a clean install.
