hi john cant even find kweather.rc done a search in root & home folder! this used to work. also looked up ICAO Location Indicator: EGHI but without kweather.rc i cant sort it.

Hi all if i open Weather Service and configure it for local station, it displays it. but in Display the Location says Unknown Station! can you help

Also had another problem with system sounds and realplayer. just added path to realplayer into artsdsp. and it worked!!! i'm impressed...

I know where i went wrong before. I tried to use alsaconf in console. but you said use telinit... and i think thats what made the difference.

Installed amarok 1.3.7 using kde 3.4.2 still doesnt work with cd's when i click on actions play audio cd get Error - amarok Could not read /Wav. cd player location is in audiocd:/Wav/ In mcc under services alsa has stopped! try to start it and says ALSA Driver isn't running. !!! help please

Hi ALL I have been trying to play CD's with amarok. If i insert a CD the KsCD opens and plays. I have tried to figure out why amarok doesn't play but did'nt have any success. I re installed 2006 as i was having problems with other sound files. After re installing 2006 i still cant play CD's. Can you help Please...

hi cant find this file: .asoundrc i re installed realplayer. it opens *.ram files plays but no sound. before it played sounds, now i only get system notification sounds...

Hi all. When using realplayer and other players there is no sound when mail arrives or when i open any windows. If I close any player then I getother sounds. Also I get a error which is Information - artsmessage Sound server informational message: Error while initializing the sound driver: device /dev/dsp can't be opened (Device or resource busy) The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash. (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".

hi tried to upgrade from 2005LE to 2006. nightmare. GUI didnt load. I installed 2006 beta which worked but had lots of files missing. re 2006 update. gui doesnt load as xorg.conf is looking for libglx.a in /usr/x11r6/lib/modules/extensions but it isnt there!! i am now re installing 2005 LE least that works...

as far as i am aware. all was ok when i was using 2005le and 10.1 looking at xorg.log various things wrong libglx.a not in folder loading r128 driver undefined symbol - gR128EntityIndex it loads my keyboard and mouse ok, but doesnt like r128_drv.so ???

i have got a console screen with the gui not loading. found that xorg.conf was looking for libglx.a which is not in /usr/x11r6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a i have looked at xorg.org. no help there. linux 2.6.12-12mdksmp ati r128 graphics
