<p>I want to update the firefox. When I extract firefox-25.0b4.tar.bz2  and then run firefox it gives the error msg :</p>

<p>Couldn't load XRE functions</p>

<p>what can should i do?</p>

<p>KDE 4.6.5 on PCLinuxOS 2012 ( 2.6.38-8) on Toshiba A305</p>

<p>videocard Intel Mobile 4. This software runs fine on a Compaq CQ50 with same graphics card.default install wants to use i810 and later driver, specifically i915</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Random xserver crashes - black screen/ working mouse- BEFORE and after login and during sessions. Cannot reproduce but has happened over the past few months about every 5th login and every 2 hrs when in a session.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Many various error messages in /var and in .xsession-errors- too many to list but mainly regarding DBus disconnecting or cannot be connected.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Things tried:</p>
<p>-With and without desktop effects enabled</p>
<p>-Intel and Xorg drivers</p>
<p>-with and without xorg.conf (this seems to provide best results)</p>
<p>-Different kernels (pae,bfs, slightly older, slightly newer including latest)</p>
<p>-adding i915.modeset=1 to boot option</p>
<p>-delete ~.kde</p>
<p>-Adding Terminate server="True" to kdmrc</p>
<p> </p>
<p>After a crash Ctrl+Alt+F(1-6) gives terminal. can login but cannot startx - error is either "xserver already running" or "cannot connect to server"</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ctrl+Alt+F7 gives me a text boot screen hung at "starting display manager"</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ctrl+ Alt+F8 returns me to the GUI session with all apps open as if nothing happened</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If I hit CTRL+Alt+Bckspc immediately after crash I get GUI login. If after I launch another terminal session, it does nothing.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Any ideas appreciated.</p>

<p>I am getting used to this Android way of life. I have a Chinese Android dual sim phone, handy for personal and work.</p>

<p>I want to start to install some apps, but how can I be sure that the manufacturer installed "Android Market" app is taking me to the Genuine Android Market?</p>

<p>This phone is used to all sorts of important stuff, so security is critical (isn't it always?).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Security is one area Apple seems to have it all over Android (that and I can't save sms texts to my pc easily!).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Who here is using Android, and how do you deal with an open market when it comes to downloading apps?</p>

<p>So, is it possible to determine if I am accessing the official market, and how can you be certain apps are secure?</p>

<p>I have been using Mandriva for 12 years now. But it seems this time has come to an end, although latest (2011) <strong>is</strong> good (I installed it on 3 coworkersâ€™ PCs :) already).</p>

<p>Now, I want to use GnomeÂ 3, and it is not part of the new Mandrivaâ€¦ So what would you recommend?</p>
<p>I want:</p>
<p>â€” repositories with dependency management (like urpmi) and broad choice;</p>
<p>â€” a good balance of stability and recent software, among which must be GnomeÂ 3;</p>
<p>â€” multi-users (most distro are);</p>
<p>â€” a possibility to setup a newbie-friendly desktop session for some users;</p>
<p>â€” adequate performance.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I tried tinycore but there is no GnomeÂ 3, and setting things up is a pain (for example: by default, pavucontrol does not find the PA daemon, although both pulseaudio and dbus are installed â€œon-bootâ€).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Iâ€™m thinking about trying ArchÂ Linux. Is it a good choice?</p>

<p>I just installed a firestarter firewall from mandriva rpm's,and i just liked it.now,i have encountered a problem,when i tried to make it autostart when logged in.i followed the instructions on their website:</p>

<p>Normally when you start Firestarter by clicking an icon or manually from a terminal, the system will prompt you for your root user's password. However, this is a bit of a hassle, especially if you want to run Firestarter all the time when logged in. In that case Firestarter can be loaded in the background when you log in with your regular user, without asking a password and minimized to the system tray (pictured right).</p>
<p>Giving the user permission to launch Firestarter without the root password</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In order for a regular user to be able to launch Firestarter, the user must be given additional privileges. <strong>Edit your /etc/sudoers file in your favorite text editor and add the following line at the end:</strong></p>
<p><strong>username ALL= NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/firestarter</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>Note: Debian users should replace /usr/bin/firestarter with /usr/sbin/firestarter in the above line.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Simply replace username with whatever your login is. The specified user is now able to launch Firestarter without being prompted for a password using the command sudo firestarter.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A note on the security aspects: This method makes a trade off in local security for convenience. If your user account becomes compromised the attacker will be able to control the firewall. However this method is preferable to having a shared root user password in a multiuser setting. It is also preferable if the alternative is not to run Firestarter at all.</p>
<p>Launching Firestarter minimized to the tray on login</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Having performed the above configuration of permissions, the system can further be set up to load Firestarter when you log in with your regular user account. Firestarter will in that case load directly into the system tray without user intervention, after which the main interface can be accessed by clicking the tray icon.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Using GNOME:</p>
<p>The GNOME sessions manager</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Open up your GNOME menu, select Preferences followed by Sessions. Switch to the Startup programs tab, pictured right.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Click Add and enter</p>
<p>sudo firestarter --start-hidden</p>
<p>as the startup command. Click OK and you're done.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>To stop Firestarter from loading on login, simply remove its entry from the startup programs listing.</p>

<p><strong>Using KDE:</strong></p>

<p><strong>Open a terminal and execute the following two commands:</strong></p>

<p>Longtime MDV KDE3.5.x user tinkering with PCLOS test-2011.6 KDE4.6.4 (kernel 2.6.38-8bfs) on Toshiba A305 with Intel Mobility 4 graphics. <strong>This also happens with a PCLOS2010.12 KDE4.5.4 install that is upgraded</strong>.There's been a little help over in PCLOS forums but apparently there's lots of issues with recent KDE4. Am considering giving KDE4 a chance whether on PCLOS or Mandy  but this is pretty much a show stopper for KDE4 on a multiuser business laptop.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Seemed to install fine and run nicely <strong>until I created second and third users</strong>. Now OCCASIONALLY on logouts and even in the middle of a session I get a hang. I have a non blinking cursor upper left and a working mouse but no desktop, no panel, no wallpaper no icons, just black. Sometimes I can ctrl+alt+bckspc which restarts xserver and sometimes I have to RSEIUB. Apparently either the driver or kdm is not being "released" for the next login, or something in a session triggers a hang.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This has happened about 10-12 times in a 5 day period. Can't find a pattern. Have tried with and without KDE effects enabled and also tried downgrading kernel (2.6.37.x) and just now upgraded x-server but no joy. </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I have run across many threads about modifying /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc to "TermnateServer=true" under the [X-*-Core] section and this has seemed to lessen problem but still happens occasionally and someone has recommended trying xorg "intel" rather than vendor "Intel i810 and later" but when I select xorg in PCC "'configure graphics, the vendor shows "custom", but drop down menu still shows "i810 and later". even after saving and rebooting. Also PCC does not give the option to "test" as in MCC or even previous PCC.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This is confirmed by  lsmod  shows i915, although xorg.conf shows "intel". I have also tried blacklisting vendor intel drivers but no luck.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Xorg.0.log from AFTER the last hang shows a lot of stuff but there is a line about "server may be stuck in a loop". I can post all relevant files and more if needed.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Main question is how do I try the xorg intel drivers? "xorg-server-intel" show as installed in synaptic but PCLOS keeps loading the vendor specific i810 drivers. </strong></p>
<p> </p>

<p>So post any great killer apps here, with a short description and why you think they are killer...</p>

<p>preferably they should be open source and applicable to everyone...</p>

<p>I have installed Fedora-14 on a spare HDD.(I did the same with kubuntu, openSuse, Mageia-alpha1 and Mandriva2011-beta2.) It is obviously Gnome oriented but I wanted KDE4 so installed what I thought was the necessary packages for KDE4 including kdm and so on. I cannot find a window manager or suchlike to enable me to select between a gnome and KDE desktop.</p>
<p>I want to see how they all compare but I so far cannot set up fedora with kde to make this comparison.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Did I miss something or is there more to install to be able to do this ???.</p>

<p>FreeBSD its a good choice for a server not a Desktop</p>
<p>then OpenSuse</p>
<p>but it does support GNOME? I ve seen last versions show KDe as main enviroment!</p>
<p>and compared to mandy it has the same versability like easyurpmi? and it has the same amount of packages in their repos?</p>

<p>Upgrading pclos2009 (2.6.26 kernel) to 2.6.27 for better wireless support. New kernel fails to boot and leaves me w/blikning cursor. Upon using the good kernel to boot dmesg and /var/log messages seem to only record the successful boot and not the failed one. How can I record the failed boot to post here and correct what's wrong. Was looking for a boot log or something but no luck.</p>

<p>Got the kernel from correct repos ( I think) and followed all instructions for upgrading.</p>

<p>I have a Centos 5 server running in a Windows network. The Windows server is the DNS and Controller for the domain. The Centos machine is hosting a mail server and a web server. I am using ftp and ssh (via putty and xming) to access the machines. The problem is that putty only gets a response on port 21 or 22. I need to access the web server for updates and the Windows box has ftp access for the business users, which I can access on port 21. I have opened port 31 on the firewall (a router) and on the firewall in the linux box. I have turned off SELinux. I get no response. I have to access the network, change the port for the designated ip on the router, and then log in. It seems I should be able to access the three machines on the linux box through port designation. Any suggestions? What am I missing?    </p>

<p>The router is the firewall. The Windows box is not serving as a firewall. BTW, I checked my own router and firewall and opened the appropriate ports there.</p>

<p>Can anyone suggest a good setup of server + database clustering. The involve are HTTP and PostgreSql. Im planning to setup an active passive environment, though Google would display lots of results on the topic, but maybe some one here has a good advice on which solution to go.</p>

<p>2 centos server running httpd and postrgresql</p>
<p>database and apps content is mounted via iscsi at storage MSA2312i.</p>

<p>not a best practice though since apps like httpd runs along with postgres, but its already there and currently not yet separated.</p>

<p>Really appreciate if someone can point me to a good solution or advice.</p>

<p>I recently tried installing Xubuntu 9.10 (Xfce) on my A21P laptop and have a good start - except for this Window Manager problem.  The Window Manager is not available through the Settings menu nor the Xfce 4 Settings Manager - it's like it's not there.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>When I open a new window, there are no close, maximize, or minimize buttons.  I cannot shade, move, or resize windows.  To further frustrate things, the windows cover the top panel - so I can only open one application at once.  If I do manage to get two applications open (like opening the online help for an application I have open), I cannot alt + tab between the open applications.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Workspaces are also ineffective - it says there is a workspace 2, but I cannot access it.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Any help will be greatly appreciated.</p>

As far as I can tell it doesn't happen during any specific event (meaning it will shut off when the OS is still loading and other times when it's been up for a few hours).  I just installed a new 500W Rosewill power supply that is more than adequate for the hardware in it so I'm fairly certain that isn't the reason.</p>

<p>I figured out that bash terminal shell behaves slightly differently in Ubuntu and Mandriva. </p>

Coming from Mandriva, I have a habit of pressing TAB very frequently, so the beep irritates everybody around. I don't want to disable speaker altogether - occasionally, the beep is useful. Also, it would be good to change the behavior of the rm command. I recall that there must be an alias somewhere but I cannot remember where it is.</p>

<p>I'm new to Ubuntu, i use it for almost a week. Everything worked fine until one day when all IM clients refused to connect (Pidgin, Kopete, Meebo). All they do is to say "connecting.." and nothing happens. The internet connection works fine, but the IM clients look like they're restricted or something.</p>
<p>On windows Yahoo!Messenger works just fine, but when i switch to Ubuntu they don't work anymore.</p>

<p>I decided it was time I caught up with the rest of the world and transferred some of my rescue/recovery programs from CD to USB. Puppy Linux is successful, Parted Magic is successful, Clonezilla/System Rescue is successful, but Super Grub Disk (SGD) is not. I just wondered if anybody here has a copy of SGD working properly from a USB key, and if so how you managed it. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Let me explain 'working properly'. Thing is, I can install, and boot SGD from my USB key, I can navigate through the mass of menus and 'help' that it throws up, but when I actually ask it to do anything involving other disks, it just stops. For example, if you look hard enough within the SGD menus you will find an entry 'Show Partitions'. If I select this the cursor moves to a new line and then - nothing! I know it is not searching for anything since there is no hard disk activity light on the PC (there is if I use the CD version). You can leave it as long as you like, it just stays there. It is not just that menu entry either, if I try one of the grub entries it says it is searching for '/boot/grub/menu.lst' (and others) but it does not do so, it just sits there until you shut it down.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>It seems to me that although it is working, it is doing so in complete isolation, in other words it is totally unaware of any other disks on the machine.</p>

<p>Any ideas why that might be?</p>

<p>I'm having a weird issue with my dhcp server on my CentOS box.  It appears to be setup correctly (I'm using webmin 1.470) and I really can't figure out what is causing the problem.</p>

<p>Whenever a client uses my Cent box for DHCP, it'll get an IP address, a hostname, DNS servers, etc., but it WILL NOT connect to the internet for some reason.  I can ping the other machines on my network, but I cannot resolve hostnames whatsoever (not from the DNS on my cent box nor from 4.2.2.1).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Now, this leads me to believe that it's a DNS issue, but there are no problems with my BIND server.  To confirm this, I disabled DHCP on my Cent box and enabled DHCP on my router.  If clients on the network get their DHCP information FROM THE ROUTER, everything works, INCLUDING resolving names using my internal BIND server...</p>

<p>What setting in my DHCP server could be causing this mess?  Any ideas?</p>

<p>I don't know if this board is high enough traffic to have people who've tried enough distros to know the answer to this, but I'm looking for a good intermediate distro that allows you to "build it yourself" to some degree and I have something very precise in mind. Namely, I would like it to do the following things, in order of importance.</p>

<p>1. Provide automatic hardware detection and driver installation</p>
<p> </p>
<p>2. Not install any base packages aside from xorg and drivers</p>
<p> </p>
<p>3. Have a helpful and intelligent package manager to aid the process of adding apps and a desktop environment (maybe even a wizard that takes you through desktop creation and installation of essential apps)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>4. Transparent install - access to all config files, daemons, etc. from the start</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I think it essentially amounts to Arch plus a couple (major) additions in order to get something that's a breeze to install but lets you put things together exactly as you please. Does anyone know if this sort of Mandriva/Arch type hybrid exists? I've poked around a little bit and couldn't seem to find anything with this "build-it-yourself... the easy way" mentality. It's weird because I would think people would love it. I know I certainly would.</p>

<p>I have just installed Linux Mint 6 on one of my computers, but I cannot get the optimum resolution on my monitor.  The monitor is an (older) NEC MultiSync LCD 2010X.  It measures 20" and the optimum resolution is 1280x1024.  Currently, is displays at 1024x728.  I have an nvidia 6200 video card which Mint configured nicely.  I have compiz working, and everything looks great -- except the resolution!</p>

<p>No connections in CAT5, USB or VGA ports--running WiFi with Linksys BEFSR41+WRT150NV1.1 (801.g)</p>
<p>SD card (Transcend 8GB HC class 6) with data files only (no programs running on SD)</p>
<p>Eee had performed beautifully for 1 year since purchase</p>
<p>Tried CTRL-ALT-BKSP several times, also removed battery and SD card for 5 hours, then retried.</p>

<p>Although I have found the DCOPSERVER folder (in Bin files) and tried each of the start* files, no success.</p>
<p>How does one properly get the DCOPSERVER running, once lost or corrupted, to resolve?</p>

<p>I need this PC to access my Wireless LAN and to mainly act as a video player for my PVR files. The PVR is located downstairs and hooked with a USB cable to one of my network PCs (running MDV 2007.1 Free) and it can be accessed with ftp. So I can run the videos from my upstairs PC (this old pc) and play them in the TV set I have connected to it (as the PC Screen).</p>

<p>I would need to have the following features</p>
<p>1) Easy to use and install sw (I really like urpmi and MCC)</p>

<p>I'm now running MDV 2007.1, but with that poor resolution some parts of the software pop-ups don't even fit on the screen that size! One good example is the "Configure your desktop" where I can set my screen resolution. I cannot see the OK or Cancel buttons as they are below the screen...</p>

<p>My main pain with Mandriva together with this HW is the screen resolution and the general slowness in some cases.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I'm familiar with Mandriva and KDE, but am not afraid to try some other distros or window managers. I don't need any eye-candy for this PC, but need to make it operate smoothly (with mainly vid's downloaded from my PVR or play them directly from the PVR through the wlan w/ ftp).</p>

Anyway, I'm a linux newbie and I've been struggling for a couple days to get Debian to function and properly on a laptop. I got everything I needed to work except for the wireless connection. The driver seems to work, actually everything seems to work except it doesn't connect to the internet, although it "sees" routers (mine and my neighbours). (sorry for the non technically accurate description). Here's what I get:</p>

<p>I've got a Dell Latitude D620 laptop which has the Intel ProWireless 3945 wireless NIC.  The reason I purchased this card for this laptop was the fact that Intel has traditionally supported their hardware under Linux.  I am running Fedora 8 and had a 2.6.23 kernel.  I had always used the <a href="http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/" rel="external nofollow">ipw9345 Sourceforge</a> page and gotten binaries and then had eventually used the Freshrpms dkms-ipw3945 and associated packages to make continually running the ipw3945 binaries simplistic.  However, when I updated my software I got a 2.6.24 kernel and the autoinstaller didn't work.  I'm forced to use the <a href="http://intellinuxwireless.org/" rel="external nofollow">http://intellinuxwireless.org/</a> project's iwl3945 (iwlwifi) software.  Until now I'm unable to get this working.  I can OCCASIONALLY scan and find networks.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I removed all the ipw3945 stuff and made sure I had all the iwl3945 (firmware, etc.) installed.  I added the following lines to my /etc/modprobe.conf</p>

<p>Im not sure if any of you remember me - its been a very long time.  Im currently returning back to Linux - namely Kubuntu.</p>

<p>So far I love it.  Linux has come a long way for sure.  With Kubuntu everything "just works" (lol kinda).</p>

<p>Now my issue.  I play WoW via wine on my Merc Zboard.</p>
<p> </p>

<p>At first I used xmodmap:</p>

<p>and it seemed all worked at first.  For sure every key does indicate when I press it down.  The red movement keys (w,a,s,d,x) will show up when I press.  The only problem is only the "w" key repeats.  So I can only move forward in WoW. Well I can turn but I need to press the turn key about 500x.  Other mapped keys repeat but the a,s,d,x do not.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>What I have found is that this seems to be an ubuntu problem.  I installed Mepis and PcLinuxOS and both worked fine - as did Gentoo (another user).  I used to know my way around Linux but Im a bit rusty - so go easy please.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Here is what I have tried:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Installed Mepis and copied the entire (working) xorg config to the Kubuntu partition and booted = nogo</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I have tried to force repeating:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>xset r 128  =  nogo</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I have tried numerous xorg.conf setting to no avail.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I was wondering if any of you had any clues on how to solve this?  I have also posted on the ubuntu forums to try and find help.</p>

<p>After using using a dual boot of Mandriva Free 2008 and Windows XP for some time I decided to try some other distribution. I chose Ubuntu 8.04.1. I made a new partition on which I would install my third OS.</p>

<p>So I installed Ubuntu and rebooted my computer. I then noticed that my graphic GRUB had not only been replaced by a text GRUB but with a text GRUB with the Ubuntu entry as the primary one. I had had (and wished to still have) a graphical GRUB that would boot Mandriva automatically after a few seconds of waiting.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I thought I could fix this by booting Mandriva and reinstalling my GRUB. This made the Ubuntu entry disappear completely.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I used the Mandriva Control Center's bootloader options and made a new boot entry. I didn't know what I'm supposed to select for that entry's "root", but I think it's /dev/hda8. That's the partition on which I installed Ubuntu. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I could now boot Ubuntu, but the mouse cursor didn't move one bit. I'd like to use my mouse so I wasn't truly satisfied yet.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>When creating a new boot entry I'm supposed to select an "image". I get these to choose from:</p>
<p>/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22.18-desktop-1mdv,</p>

<p>I want to use it as the mother of all MP3 players in my car.</p>

<p>CURRENTLY I have DSL installed.</p>

<p>Something about the VIA video drivers dont seem to allow any MDV based distro to work. however ANY UBU based distro works fine.</p>

<p>I want a SMALL fast distro that has a nice based MP3 player AND USB auto mount.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The USB is important because I dont think that I'll be able to put enough HD INSIDE the box to hold my MP3's (I have 128GB of speeches I want to carry, not to mention music), so I figure an external USB HD will be my b est route.</p>

<p>unfortunately DSL (the one I have) is running kernel 2.4</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I'm nopt really married to ANY distro, I just need a light GUI (for the wife) and a good boot time.</p>

<p>GOS works great, but takes almost 3 minutes to boot</p>

Do you think Mandriva could out do them with 2009?  With respect to the Mandriva Dev Team, functionality is the most important part to any distro, and they seem to have that down.  But as far as the look and feel, well I personally feel/think that they are lacking just a tad, but still great in the end.  I was looking at their(Suse) Media layout page, found here <a href="http://en.opensuse.org/Media_Layout/11.0" rel="external nofollow">http://en.opensuse.org/Media_Layout/11.0</a> and noticed they've got a KDE4 LIVE CD.  What do you guys think about Suse 11?  Has anyone here tried it, if so, how does it compare to Mandy?</p>

<p>Hi all!</p>
<p>I have been using Linux (mostly Mandrake/driva)  for a long time. Yep, every next release gets better and better.</p>
<p>But the single most annoying part of the game is that you set everything up, spend a week on finetuning it, finally have nice working setup (in my case not exactly trivial) and then half a year later you start all over again.</p>
<p>I am beyond the age when tinkering with my comp was my favourite passtime, all I need is a working setup.</p>
<p>I have considered simply not upgrading - but that's not an option either. New versions of software come out that I depend on and using old versions is often not very practical. </p>
<p>So here is the Q:</p>
<p>Is there any Linux distro that supports version upgrades? Suse? Fedora? Some other? Note that I am not friends with Ubuntu so suggesting it is useless.</p>
<p>I know upgrade is possible in Mandriva, but AFAIK it is not officially supported and i know from my earlier experience that it is possible to get burned quite easily. I make my living on my computer and killing it with failed upgrade I cannot afford.</p>

<p>So I previously had XP and Mandriva dual booting on seperate hdds. Everything was good. Then I installed Ubuntu 32-bit on the same HD as Mandriva, but on a seperate partition. I installed the Ubuntu grub on the Ubuntu partition at step 7.</p>

<p>I configured my Mandriva menu.lst to boot all three OSs. Everything was fine.  I did save my menu.lst</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I decided to install Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit(as my system is fully capable) over the previous ubuntu install, however I didn't see the step 7 to install grub. So when it finished it reboot fine.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The old Mandriva GRUB still loads but I cannot boot neither Mandriva nor Ubuntu now. XP still boots fine.  Anyway I can figure out what's wrong?</p>

That's the best I can describe it.  Currently it's one big monitor (2560x1024) but I want them to act separately, yet still be able to drag across to the other one.</p>

<p>When using pendrivelinux it does reconize I have a 1680x1050 screen (a HP 6710b laptop).</p>
<p>It also say it uses 1680x1050 resolution, but in fact it uses 1280x1024 because i see 2 fat black bars on the left and right of the screen.</p>
<p>I uses VESA drivers (i don't know the intel graphics engine is supported or not</p>
<p>Can this problem been solved by messing around in the xorg.conf?</p>
