      Mandriva Official Documentation

Official documentation for extant versions of Mandriva can be found at doc.mandriva.com.   Documentation for the latest release may take some time to appear there. You can install all the manuals from the main repository if you have Mandriva installed - files are prefixed mandriva-doc.

      Forum software upgrade   10/29/17

So you may have noticed the forum software has upgraded !!!
A few things that have changed. We no longer have community blogs (was never really used) We no longer have a portal page.
We can discuss this, and decide whether it is needed (It costs money) See this thread: Here

  2. Texstar

Not sure if anyone remembers Red star here, but he used to make packages for the Mandrake community before moving on the Pckinuxos. Anyways, it seems cancer is trying its best to take him down. Think of him in your thoughts and prayers, he needs it. https://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,146233.0.html
  3. Local mirror as a backup

I suggest haproxy it will probably be easier than heartbeat with ldirectord. With heartbeat and ldirectord I use direct routing rather than masquerade, as it's faster, just a little more effort to set it up. So if you want something simpler for the beginning, use haproxy as it's pretty straightforward.
  4. Local mirror as a backup

current plan is to set up the HA cluster on a masqed LAN for testing before setting it live. It is going to be a mammoth task... it has been 16 years since i have done any networking.. ah well if you dont try you never fail
