During install mdk 9.2 made a parrot of me. In the previous verion (9.1) I could change that by editing a user in the mdk contol centre. 9.2 does not offer this possibility. How can I change the login icon without removing an existing user?

In KDE you'll find it now here:
Configuration -> Configure your desktop -> system -> tab login manager (or similiar)
Don't know in Gnome.

Thanks maatje, after putting the config gui in the admin mode I turned myself into a pinguin bearing fancy glasses. Not ideal but closer to reality: short sighted, slow and a bit clumsy, but decisive and in any case better than a parrot repeating what others tell you. That's why I use Linux!.

Lol, Earny. - Would you mind using your 'gebruiker icoontje' as your avatar here on mandrakeusers.org?
Just upload it, settings in your profile here.
You'll find all the icons in /usr/share/mdk/faces
