Well I've tried Gentoo, Suse, and Mandrake I figured it was about time for a different distro so I've chosen Yoper does anyone have any thoughts about it.
NOTE: There is nothing wrong with the other distros I like them very much but I'm just in an experimental stage. Soon ezroller is giving a older Mac and I will be installing Yellow Dog just to see what it's like
I played around on Yop when it was first in beta, didn't seem all that bad and then they turned around and wanted money for the 1.0 release so I said no thanks, tried the beta and didn't feel paying for it was worth it. Now the guy is doing something with IBM or some company and is giving it out for free again. Just give it a try, see what you think.
The last I saw was they were trying to implement "portage" in it, but I'm not sure were the progress is at now.
Let me know what you think. If I was going to go with a Slack type distro, I would go with Slackware.

Yoper is integrated with portage now, but I haven't gotten to install it yet maybe this afternoon
