Anyone that have tried the 2 betas and have their AL650 codec and Agere PCI modem auto detected correctly and working? Sorry, I am a newbie that is exploring linux and till date not much progress made on the sound and modem dept with MDK9.1 on my MSI 648Max mobo. RH9 refuse to load on the same pc. TIA

I think it is a bit early to judge those two releases, they still have some way to go before final release. It may be a good enough indication of what the final will look like, but I would wait for them to be released before comparing them.
I remember some beta versions of Mandy 9.2 being so buggy they were hardly usable, but the final release came out great.
In the mean time, why not chek compatibility lists at www.mandrake.com to find out if your modem is fully supported?
