Hello, I have Mandriva 2007 installed (premium) edition and everytime I log in it just hangs with the little circle cursor spinning. It sat there for hours yet I can still access the filesystem via Samba or SSH/Telnet into the system. WHy is Xwindows behaving this way? I am logging into the gnome xwindows system.

To solve the problem completely, you may have to upgrade to a newer version.

No luck :( - so upgrading to 2008 spring is the only option?
You could wait and see if you get other suggestions, but Mandriva 2007 is no longer supported, so you may want to try a newer version anyway.
