Just installed Delft, fantastic, all went very smooth and works great well done guys n gals.

Did a shieldsup test and the default install left all ports open, so this test failed
big time.

Ok, i`m assuming that Delft needs a fat32 partition to allow it to boot, so as this is
a windows based partition does this not allow malicious code to run and infect the
OS as it does in Windows?

Is it possible for the Delft OS to access and write / save to a EXT2 partition on the
same usb stick for the added security that Linux offers( file permissions ect )

Any MCNLive security related links anyone knows of would be very much appreciated.

Code that could infect Windows won't infect Linux. It has nothing to do with the partition's filesystem and everything to do with the OS/programs running on the OS.

It`s a shame Chris:b has decided to retire.
I`v been experimenting with usb distros for some time
and Delft seems to be perfect at the moment, very easy install,
reliable, everything works how it should.
great stuff.
With such talents I wonder why chris:b has not marketed her own distro.
