Full Version: Finally got Mdv 2008.1 installed
with the two failed installations, I mentioned here that if Mdv doesn't behave properly on the third try then I am putting it in the last place for laptop reentry. Fortunately the third time is a charm and I have a 2008.1 installation with working wifi!

Great, glad it worked (in the end)
me too. my laptop mdv installation was getting old so either this one work or i go ask ianw for distro ho-ing tips.
and before i forget, the upgrade/reinstall option does not work if the target partition contains the same release. i was getting a perl-like error that has the word uniq in the end. sorry i was already cozy enough pulling my remaining hair while in the bed that i wasn't able to get a pen and paper to write it down. i just restarted the installation and wiped the partitions clean.
