SO about 50 percent of the time when I start up my t61, Mandriva starts but any window I open does not have a top bar. No title, no close, no minimize. I can still right-click and close or minimise or what have you, it's just annoying. Any tips?

I have the same problem with compiz-fusion. No clue so far. I'm waiting for the repositories to be there so I can do a full update and also install emerald which I think is being referenced by cf but which is not installed. I also need to install the theme manager.

All fixed. The problem was that emerald was not installed. It was not on the pwp dvd and so I had to get it from the online repositories. Once installed all was well.
