I have a Compaq v6000 and some times the display is a little dark and other times it is fully bright (IE: upon different boot ups). Anyone else experience something like this?

I have seen this when a laptop is plugged in and not using battery. The power adapter is bad (the pin) or the place where it is inserted into the laptop is loose. Poor connection= power saving feature on the laptop= dimmer screen.
