How popular is Opera? I mostly use Firefox and Konqueror, myself.
{BBI}Nexus{BBI}
0.62% percent market share. Forth behind In-you-get Explore me, Firefox & Safari.

Darth Wong I'd say Opera is the greatest browser on Windows. For linux i'd say Firefox, everything seems to work better like "FLASH." OSX, i'd say El Camino even though its FF on roids. Nexus, how is 9.26 handling say youtube videos, i'd get grey/gray screens if i clicked on another tab and came back to it.

Flash 9.0.115 won't work in Opera 9.26- you have to
get 9.0.48. I've heard that it does work in the 9.50 beta.
By the way- Flash 9.0.115 also doesn't work with the
Konqueror web browser!

Success with flash and java on the 9.50 betas comes and goes... still work to be done. ATM Flash is broken and Java is working.
And yeah, Firefox is a better browser, if you don't mind browsing MUCH slower and using double the RAM you normally do using Opera... tongue.gif

I'm pretty sure this is a non-issue to most, unlike compatibilty with Flash and Java tongue.gif

Opera 9.50 beta 1 is my default browser. cool.gif

... and the current Opera 9.50 beta (build 1834) is simply brilliant!
Flash is working perfectly, java is a tad slow but it does work, video and audio streaming is working just great ( using gnome-mplayer plus gecko mediaplayer), no crashes, no quirks, no slowdowns, no...
Whoever is not convinced, may stick to his compatibility worries... tongue.gif

Opera tip:

If some typefaces on some sites show up badly, then try to uncheck "Enable Core X Fonts".
In Opera adress bar go to opera:config#UserPrefs, edit, save, restart.

I just learned today. http://forum.mandriva.com/viewtopic.php?t=86267
(Did not have problems wiht this earlier)

Opera user...

Brilliant browser, I've always found it far more responsive than firefox -- though Firefox 3 is definitely a significant improvement.

But more than opera 9, I want the mobile version! It'll be awesome, and should resolve all the problems I have with mobile browsing now...
