does any one know of a port or clone of this game for linux

Not a port or clone, but Candy Cruncher is a pretty cool game... It's addictive. You can get the demo for free, and you can either purchase a registration key to unlock the demo, or you can buy it on CD-ROM in a DVD case from TuxGames.

I don't think it'd be that hard to program a Bejewelled clone, so maybe someone has already started working on one.

Actually, come to think of it, I remember seeing a Flash version of the game somewhere...

i think there is a port somewhere but i forgot the name. search for it in freshmeat.
