2008 is using the new Devicescape wireless network stack (that's the 'mac80211' in the output above). Basically, in Beta 1, it's just broken. Only one of the devicescape drivers work, none of the others do.

We've just updated the wireless code in the kernel today, so it'll be newer in Beta 2, and might work better. But for Beta 1, it's not going to work - you're better off with ndiswrapper.
Lexicon
Thanks, have you seen that new beta2? I havn't windows but drivers for windows on CD. How to use ndiswrapper?
Hmm, same problem issue in MDV 2007 Spring when I install 2.6.22 kernel.

Beta 2 will be out at the start of next week.

Thanks, I wait ....Lex

When the driver is working, you need to configure wlan0 not wmaster0.

Hi, problem solved. I download Mandriva Spring and here is only newest driver rt61pci not old rt61. Any distro not worked with rt61pci driver on my card (Ralink), why? ......Lex
