maybe i didnt word my search very well (lernal update/upgrade) but I didnt see what I was looking for, nor in the FAQ, but i'm all about learning, or being redirected.

I am using a "live" install, thats been installed on a hd.

i don this so that everytime i make a change i remaster, that way if i have a failure i can pop the last cd in and just reinstall everything, applications, settings, favorites etc. righht back to the HD.

however 2007.1 is out!

i havent looked at the spec sheet, but i believe that it has a few critical updates? including the kernal.

is there a "simple" method to do this? the live version that I'm using is a VERY streamlined version, with thunderbird opera, gimp, kds, audacity and 1/2 dozen others) i'm UNDER 600MB

any help or ideas would be appreciated.

thanks
Leo
Admittedly I am not a big fan of the upgrade process, hwever it may be worthwhile looking into upgrading using urpmi as described in Upgrading to Mandriva 2007 Spring failing that you could try the method I ended up using (see the end of the same post)

Any problems or questions, just ask

Leo
