Hi guys,

I got a little problem, I am trying to run the LIVE CD on a test Dell Poweredge 2650 Server to see if I will be able to install it as a main OS on this server.

It has 2 XEON CPUs, 4 Gb ram and 2 RAID arrays a RAID 1 for OS and a RAID 5 for data storage.

When I try to boot from the CD it will show the orange splash screen but the progress bar at the bottom left won't move at all.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Ed.

A good start is pressing esc at startup to remove the orange screen and see the kernel messages behind. This way you will probably find out what is going wrong at bootup.

Cool, thanks I'll try that and report back.

Right now what I'm doing is creating a Virtual Mandriva Free server, when done I'll copy the vmware file over to the server and try to run it with VM Player.

But I'll try your tip anyways to see what the error is.

Thanks

Ed.
