Every time I've tried (I want the no-media one) the download fails about half way through :x
Anyone know of a reliable place to download from?

Just buy it at EB!
Seriously, use wget -c URL and you'll be fine.

I want the demo to confirm it will run on my system befireI part with hard earned cash. I think my system meets the requirements, but I seem to remember having trouble running the demo before

OK, I have downloaded the demo (twice and from two different place) and I can't get it to install :(
When I try to run it as root I get:

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Took a chance and went out and bought the full game anyway. Turns out that this CD has the original Wolfenstein 3D on it as a bonus. I'm sure that this at least will run on my system. Hopefully RTCW will as well - but if it doesn't then it seems as good an excuse as any to buy a new computer!

Pfft. You can get it working. Ask on IRC or something. The icculus.org boys know all.

:( Guess I don't need a new PC after all - it runs like a dream. The movie sections run better than on windows :mystismiles:
I haven't managed to succesfully connect to a multiplayer game yet - but it's only a matter of time now...
