I have Rocks N Diamonds. The graphics go at normal speed until I get to the edge of the screen, when it slows down, because of the soft scrolling. It's only done this since I upgraded from Mandrake 9.2 to 10.1. It does this in KDE, Gnome and all other grahpical environments, including the lightweights like ICE WN.

Has anyone else had this problem in any of these sorts of games?
