I have recently upgraded from Mandrake10 to 10.1 and unreal tournament 2004 don't run in 10.1. The error reads "Missing Symbols - Aborting"
Now I'm somewhat sure after some research that it is xorg causing my problem. The story takes a couple more sad turn but for the time being I need to find a solution to this problem.

I dunno if you figured this out or not, but I have this same problem and this is what I do to fix it:

cd /usr/X11R6/lib
rm -f libGL.so.1
ln -s /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 libGL.so.1

I had this problem too on 10.1 with Xorg 6.7 and the proprietary ATI drivers for XFree 4.3. Your fix worked nicely
