Apache is not working for me. When I start apace with httpd start, the httpd2 failed and I get this tis in the error_log "Function not implemented: mod_rewrite: could not create rewrite_log_lock Configuration Failed.

Any ideas?

Is this with the stock mandrake Apache or did you roll your own?

I'd check to see that
1. mod_rewrite is actually loaded / compiled in
2. the permissions are set right for apache to write to the log file - wherever that is

Oh, and of course I'd copy the whole error message into google and see what you get.
