Have you been able to boot into linux before? Is there any hard drive activity when you try to boot linux? Have you done any work on the drive with windows tools recently?

I got Linux for a couple of hour ago..So i haven't boot Linux before. It doesent look like it's some hardware activity. And i haven't done something spesial with Windows, right after i installed it, i tryed to boot it.

It may be either that your install was unsuccessful completely or that there is a problem with the bootloader. I take it that you are having trouble booting from fd as well. Is there a 'failsafe' option listed in your bootloader? If so give that a try and see what happens
Stish
Jul 14 2004, 04:59 PM
Yes i have a "failsafe". I can test it when i come home

Please describe your install process in detail. Did you create the partitions? Format them? use space that was previously part of an ntfs?

post your /etc/lilo.conf so we can remove the resume crap from it. You can access it from rescue mode. Boot with cd1>press F1 at the splash screen>type and run rescue>choose Mount your partitions under /mnt>choose go to console>type and run
chroot /mnt
then type and run
cat /etc/lilo.conf
to edit it you'll have to use vi
vi /etc/lilo.conf
