i wanna change my hostname localhost into some thing else i ve tried the command
hostname kiko
nothing happens any body can help me ??

Here is a FAQ on how to change the hostname with MCC. It was written a few versions back so let me know if it is out of date..

Yeah its out of date there is no "drack Connect" in the mandrake control center under network and internet in version 10 of mandrake

MCC >>Network & Internet >>Internet Access. That should allow you to change host name.
