just finish installation, so far i can only login, how can i start "the windows like screen"?

during the installation, i only used cd1 it didnot ask for other cds, what are other cd for?

Er,

Im assuming you picked the packages yourself since it didn't ask for more than one CD, could you clarify what you mean by 'the star screen like windows?'

I am guessing you are seeing a "DOS" like screen after you log in? And you have a command line thing that looks something like this:
CODE
[kingli@localhost kingli]$

I would try typing this:
QUOTE
startx

Followed by hitting <ENTER> and see what this does, any error message from this, report back here smile.gif

saw a lot os screenshots, they all like "windows".
but my linux run on a black screen with some word on it.

You really need to get the 2nd cd. Did you type "startx" to see what happens?

tried.
a erro message coming out after i type startx.
is that mean i did not finish the installation?

when do i put the second cd, it never ask for it.

Please tell us what the error message says when you use 'startx'.

i must did something wrong during the installation,after i reinstalled it every thing is good, finally runing linux...
