The gnome menu (mandrake 10) can be transparent? or just kde?

I've heard of a patch that can do it and another patch for the menu shadow, but that's if you compile gnome......not for the lighthearted.

I know there's a gtk+ menu shadow patch. As for the transparency, I don't know.

I'm sure you can prolly dig around for a patched mandrake rpm. (although, building from source for it really isn't that difficult, I could walk you through it if you like)

I've done this, and note that it can produce mixed results. I had issues, everything started acting weird. but then again...it was through "break my gentoo", so I kind of expected it to break something wink.gif

AFAIK, the gnome menu can't be transparent - unless you use the X server from freedesktop.org, but that's experimental - and even harder than patching and compiling gtk wink.gif
