Please help if you can. I downloaded ati radeon driver for ati 9600 series, and installed it in mdk 9.2, unfortunately it did not work at all. Really i am sad and thinking of using another linux distro. I apreciate any help. Thank you.

ati drivers are generally just bad. I have a 9700pro and just use it without any dri accleration at all.
Trying to get it to work properly is going to be a nightmare for you, irrespective of which distro you are using.
