Hello everyone,

I have a question that i was hoping someone might be able to help me with. I have a older version of Mandrake, 7.0, and want to install it on my laptop and then upgrade it from there. If i had a burner i would just fownload the new iso's and not worry about it but unfortunately i don't have one unsure.gif

How complicated would it be to accomplish this if i start out with the 7.0?

Any help would be greatly appreciated biggrin.gif

Thanks!

Do you have a stable net connection from your laptop? It might be easier to do an ftp install. Or you could do a hard drive install from the 3 disks for 9.2 if you have the hd space. There's a tutorial somewhere. I will see if I can find it.

I have a dsl connection through a wireless network and over 8 gig left on my drive. I was wanting to set it up as a dual boot till i got a little more experience with Mandrake. What i eventually want to do is get rid of windows completely...tired of the blue screen of death mad.gif

Just finished reformatting my hardrive and reinstalling from Win98 then upgrade to ME because of it.

If you can find the link it would be great biggrin.gif

Thanks!

Hope this helps you out.

My pleasure. I would suggest trying the hd install first. I heard on #musb that the ftp install wasn't working for someone, and with you having a wireless card, it might not be recognized for the install.
