Ndiswrapper is a real pain on back..I had this same issue , my device was broadcom 4727. so I think you have to enable 3rd party repos and install 1.i installed dkms-broadcom-wl (kernel module for broadcom wirless adapters) 2.broadcom-wl-kernel-2.6.33.7-desktop-2mnb 3.I uninstalled nidswrapper (this is important) 4.reboot 5.choose desktop-2.6.33.7 6.configured wifi network from MCC 7.Done!!!Smile

I recently bought a Samsung laptop in which the broadcom device 4727 wifi card. I installed Mandriva free2010 spring and it did not detect the wifi card. when I tried to install a new wifi connection from MCC, it gave me an option for ndiswrapper. even it did not work. I was trying so many option for last 3 days,.. Today I got it working. I have another issue.. I have a Dell Vostro Laptop. the issue is I can listen sound through speaker but not on headphones. I tried a lot but no idea whats wrong?? but I installed same Mandriva2010soring with Samsung RV508 laptop but it works fine. is this a hardware issue?? coz I did not try any other OS to test it..

try to install x264 package. here, first enable all those plf non-free respositeries. then #urpmi libquicktime -a #urpmi x264 #urpmi gxine with all of their dependencies.. then restart your machine and try play again..

wowow..it worked..yes..even Ubuntu users are running hard for it.. enormous command line and chmod plays./.MCC done is it easy... I dont understand why Ubuntu is the number one Distro in hitting,ppl are crazy..
