    Thanks but it didn't help... what i can understand is it is the via cpu drivers that maybe be missing.

    how do i get the cpu clock down when idle? I'm using Mandriva 2008 spring but my cpu is allways at 1,8 ghz. my system is running on VIA EPIA SN18000G
