I intend to use Front Page, but i want that Front Page can acces /var/www/html folder to edit the html, i don;t use any protocol know , what is your recomandation?

anyone pls ? any sugestion , anythink ... I really need this one to work

I will work on part of server administration but editing the web pages on my webserver will be someone who is used to the front page .... what can i do that pages in / var / www / html can be edited with FrontPage from another computer with another IP. On the old server I used the system in windows like this : My Network Places - Map network drive, I wrote the web address, server asked me for user login and password, then i go to front page logged in with user and passw and edit pages.On my new web server i don't know how to do that. I want to start a video server like youtube or google video , on my mandriva, i usualy upload my video file to youtube but know i want to start my own video server ... what u recomand ? i use mandriva one 2009 , what are the aplication to use ? the upload band is not a probleme ... I'm pretty sure that the card is old , I will download the Ubuntu Desktop Live CD to test it and I guess that I will buy a new card .... Thanks for support ...

I run Konsole and su root , and ifconfig : The green led is turned on on my network card, but the red one NO .... When I had windows 2000 instaled worked just fain ... What can I do ....

i wrote ifconfig eth0 in console as root and the result was : etho: error fetching interface information : Device not found Can you help me please ?

Should I change the network card ?
