I recently installed the new GoogleEarth onmy Mandriva 2009.1 and immediately encountered this problem: wiki articles are displayed in unreadable and ugly font; the GUI theme looks black and not white as it should.
Any ideas how to fix that?

"qtconfig" as plain user?
If you are mainly using GNOME/GTK apps, pick "gtk+" as qt UI.
Fonts are also configurable from there.

Looks to me like you're getting font substitution. I'd suggest installing some ttf font packages and see if if works any better after restarting X.

Font substitution is happening because the program is wanting a font it cannot find, and so it automatically picks the nearest of next available font - usually incorrectly and so that's why it looks weird to you.

If I recall well, the only font Google-Earth wants explicitly is ttf-bitstream-vera.
Is it installed? (I guess yes, as it's a very common font).
