I have an USB MP3 player portable, but It can not detected well by my Linux PC (I am using Linux Mandriva 2009). But It can detected well by mu Notebook (using Linux Mandriva 2008) and neighbour PC with Windows XP Pro SP1.

Why ???

MP3 players follow either the usb_storage device protocol, or the mtp one. Some devices support both protocols, but they are a minority.

If your MP3 player belongs to the second category, it needs libmtp, plus a usable frontend for it (e.g. mtpfs) to be recognized and mounted.

But- I do not see such a device listed by lsusb. Is it that "Canon" thing (unlikely)?

Are you sure the connector cable is OK, and/or the USB bus not undewrpowered? (typical case for several laptops and external USB hubs without their own PSU).
