mmodem
When i created the 2007.1 MDE repos i forgot to generate hdlists files, but that was already fixed some days ago, so you can go now and update your MDE repos.
Guest Sir Max
thanks for your answer... i have tried that just now and i have this output.. urpmi.update -a &&urpmi --auto --auto-select -y --wget medium "plf-free" is up-to-date medium "plf-nonfree" is up-to-date http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/hdlist.cz updated medium "mde" medium "Main (Official2007.1-1)" is up-to-date medium "Main Updates (Official2007.1-2)" is up-to-date medium "Contrib (Official2007.1-5)" is up-to-date medium "Contrib Updates (Official2007.1-6)" is up-to-date medium "Non-free (Official2007.1-9)" is up-to-date medium "Non-free Updates (Official2007.1-10)" is up-to-date http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/libar...2007.1.i586.rpm http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/arts-...2007.1.i586.rpm ...retrieving failed: wget failed: exited with 1 You may want to update your urpmi database and also tried to use synthesis.hdlist.cz and it gives me this error urpmi.addmedia MDE http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS with synthesis.hdlist.cz adding medium "MDE" http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/synthesis.hdlist.cz unable to parse hdlist file of "MDE" problem reading synthesis file of medium "MDE" unable to update medium "MDE" removing medium "MDE" i don't know what else to do.. please.. mmodem
urpmi.addmedia MDE http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS with synthesis.hdlist.cz adding medium "MDE" http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/synthesis.hdlist.cz unable to parse hdlist file of "MDE" problem reading synthesis file of medium "MDE" unable to update medium "MDE" removing medium "MDE" i don't know what else to do.. please.. Im sorry but sems to exist some problems with the file synthesis.hdlist.cz, so instead you could do: urpmi.addmedia MDE http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS with hdlist.cz but this will not install the kde rpms, so untill the script that generates hdlists files is fixed please download the kde rpms to you hd and then create a local media and install them from there. mmodem
I have check the script and this is a bug from the package rpmtools done by mandriva that when generating hdlists files doesnt set anymore the recursive option, so doesnt search/add subfolders. So to workaround this untill this annoying bug can be fixed, i will move the kde rpms to the RPMS folder.
mmodem
In fact this is a more complicated problem, this is a urpmi problem that isnt able to recusivelly search inside sufolders that exist in RPMS folder. So i think the best option is to just start using smart and i will post in MDE webpage how to add the MDE repos to smart. Meanwhile run this as rooter to add MDE repo to smart: smart channel -y --add MDE type=urpmi baseurl=http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS hdlurl=hdlist.cz
sir_max
wow.... that was just great work in such short time...certainly i better start using smart, although i have never used ir nor seen it before.... again thanks for your great work thata benefit all of us, mandriva users :D :woot_jump: :woot_jump:
mmodem
Forgot to say that smart packaged by MDE already have all needed repositories, thats why so far i didnt add nothing in MDE website explaining how to add the MDE repos to smart :)
