Hello.

Released version 2.3.3 of if-so (insltall from sources) tool integrated

with rpm.

if-so using any http, ftp (or local) folder with located sources

(src.rpms, tarballs) can find software, download it, build rpms, and

install.

if there are dependencies then if-so recourcively downloads all deps,

builds them all.

So, you can always check which package is installed because all sources

installed with rpms.

More of that, if-so detects your computer cpu and compile software with

predefined cpu options that should improve performance.

I am asking you to try if-so, and mail me or post here all

suggetations.

I will be happy to discuss work with you.

One of the possible usages is update Your RHEL distributions ;)

Another - is install modern packages on the oldest systems.

I will work on if-so to integrate it with gentoo portage tree.
