Guest xalen
Just had to reinstall mandrake and tried to follow my points. Sleeper service is right. You need to open the mandrake installer. Search for bc (i'm still not sure if you need gcc because I did it before without installing it) but I searched for both bc and gcc and installed both. I got some errors installing because I don't have disk 4. I went to the software management tool and deselected disk 4. Didn't complain this time. Then it was complaining about not finding pppd. Did a search in the installer for ppp and installed all that it came up with. Followed lets eat gary's instructions, with the modem plugged in and it all worked fine. Thanks once again lets eat gary

Guest s0undt3ch
i don't get it :o become root and ./speedtouchconf.sh < how At a shell type su, you'll be asked to enter root's password, type it and hit enter. and what does the last bit mean? Again at the shell, and as root now type ./speedtouchconf.sh you will have to enter your username and password and your vpi/vci < where?- in the uk its 0 38 Once you do the previous step, you'll be asked about username, password and your VPI(blank space here)VCI. set it to load at boot < how? Go to Mandrake Control Center ---> System ---> Services ---> and add a check-mark on the speedtouch check-box service. Hope It helps!!! RXvt? Well, open your Star(t) Menu, then to System submenu, then to the Terminals submenu, and there you'll find all the terminals/shells you installed. Simply use the one you have, it'll do!!!
