I want to install Mandriva 2011 and I found this image:

http://ftp.icm.edu.pl/pub/linux/mandriva/official/iso/2011/Mandriva.2011.x86_64.1.iso'>http://ftp.icm.edu.pl/pub/linux/mandriva/official/iso/2011/Mandriva.2011.x86_64.1.iso

here:

http://ftp.icm.edu.pl/pub/linux/mandriva/official/iso/2011/

Problem is, that when I burned the image (successfully) and run it on on my PC M/B GA-MA770-DS3 with AMD2+ Dual core 6000+ 3.1 Ghz I got black screen as a result. First of all I boot the DVD, select either lunch or install and both procceses are freezed with a black screen after a while. Do I have incorrect instalation?

I found the images here:

http://api.mandriva.com/mirrors/list.php

searching in Europe. I could not found Mandriva 2012 or any newer version which would be full free. So this is the only mirror list I could found for Mandriva.

Can you suggest some different list or different image for Mandriva?

Have you considered trying Mageia which is a Mandriva off-shoot as I understand it. I'm running Mageia 3 as my server and in VirtualBox on my Windows XP workstation. I'm having a lot of trouble getting internet sharing to work on the newest version (Mageia 4.1) though but 3 works pretty well.

Did you try to get help in the Mageia-forum? Mostly people are helped rather soon.
